Mottled grey.

image

In the speckled grey of darkness,
atoms charged with hate,
clarity of fairy tales,
forgotten at the gate.

I know only passion,
I know of only lies.
I know of only hatred,
that lays dormant in the eyes.

Smiles hide the anguish,
stories offer hope,
Fantasies long languished
a noose made out if rope.

I know only passion,
I know of only lies,
I know of only hatred,
That lays dormant in the eyes.

Laughter hides the torment,
darkness hides the light,
the devil hides the secrets
and the angels whisper, ‘Fight’.
