In my heaven this is solitude

To wander beneath twilight
Skies upon a moonlit shore
Bare foot, soul upon my
tattered sleeve with the
gentle wisp of ocean caressing
my solitude, this is heaven.
Utopia lapping at my feet
as I walk the soft bed of
precious memories caught
in the broken fragments
of stone, shells, aged glass
in solitude, this is heaven.
To hear the ancient call
of my ancestors whispering
across waves of ascent to
hear the answers to questions
not yet asked in this precious
solitude, this is heaven.
As linear time spreads before
souls departed to feel the
essence of your love in
the tides embrace distance
an absent obstacle. . .
In my solitude, this is heaven.
