The key to the castle of abandoned hopes.

Take my hand,
let me slip my fingers between yours,
walk with me
To a beautiful place.
Feel the mist cling
against our skin
as we wander,
Slowly,
effotlessly,
without words
through a long forgotten forest.
And when we find the gate,
hidden,
over grown with ivy and wild
roses,
Push with me,
be my strength,
follow me as I skip up
the old abandoned steps,
To the castle of forgotten hope.
Hidden deep within the trees,
away from the sky,
out of reach of the sun.
Solitude,
Darkness swarming through the mist.
Take me to the top,
to the highest point,
show me what I cannot see.
Show me what it is I see,
There, alone,
show me what it is
To be.
